Questions about Buxenger
Is using Buxenger againts "the rules"?
No. Buxenger does not violate Terms of Services of the supported websites. We respect and even protect website owners interests. Buxenger is not built to auto-click, "hack" or "cheat". You can look at it as just a web browser which is built for working with PTC websites.
Is Buxenger approved by PTC Admins?
Yes. PTC website owners have authorized their participation in Buxenger program.
How do I know Buxenger will not be used to steal my PTC earnings?
We encourage our users to use "Cashout PIN" protection on all PTC websites. This is an additional password protection on top of the account password. You are required to enter it each time you request cashouts on websites. You do NOT need to specify cashout pin for your accounts in Buxenger.
Is my private information sent to Buxenger servers?
Yes, some information is sent indeed. Every time you create a PTC account using Buxenger your username and the name of your Buxenger referrer is sent to the server. This is required for managing and tracking our affiliate program. Passwords are encrypted and stored by Buxenger on your hard disk drive only and never sent anywhere except PTC websites for the actual login process. (In the same way as browsers send login details when you submit a login form). In addition, some information is downloaded from Buxenger server when the program starts. This information includes latest configuration of the supported PTC websites.
These facts can be easily verified using any "HTTP sniffing" software, such as HTTP Analyzer or Fiddler.
- I was using a website in Buxenger but now this website is gone. Why?
Buxenger may remove a website from the supported list at any time. Usually it happens when a website stops its services. You can still view the details of your account using tools -> view disabled accounts menu in Buxenger.
- How do I uninstall Buxenger?
You can use stantard Windows uninstall wizard. Simply go to Control Panel-> Programs -> Uninstall a program.
I own a PTC website which is supported by Buxenger. Is Buxenger good or bad for me?
Definitely good. Here are some reasons:
- Buxenger users who are not registered on your website yet (which is exactly your target audience) are exposed to your website as it appears in the list. Since it takes only couple of clicks for the user to create new account using Buxenger this WILL bring you new users.
- Buxenger users are more active because ads are easier to view from Buxenger.
I own a PTC website. Why is it not supported by Buxenger?
Buxenger supports a lot but not every PTC website. You can send us a message and we will check if it is possible to add your website to the list. Please send us the request only if you own the website.
